Rustem Khamitov met with "Fair Russia" head in State Duma Sergei Mironov

UFA, 30 August 2018. /Bashinform News Agency/ translated by Tatiana Aksyutina/. The Head of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov met with the leader of the "Fair Russia" faction in the State Duma Sergei Mironov.
Issues of interaction between the parties, social and economic development of the republic were discussed.
The Head of Bashkortostan noted that the region ranked second in the country in terms of budget revenues growth. This was due to tax revenues from Bashneft, the metallurgical and machine-building enterprises.
"In general we are showing quite good performance with a 3-3.5 percent growth in the industrial production index compared to the previous year", Rustem Khamitov said.
The Head of the Republic reported on the state of the agro-industrial complex and plans for its further development. Thus, due to high yields, the region fully satisfied its own grain demands. Therefore, currently, an issue of deep grain processing is being worked out in Bashkortostan, which will allow starting a production of fodder and biodegradable plastic.
Rustem Khamitov also told about the readiness for the new academic year. There are 480 thousand schoolchildren and more than 200 thousand students in Bashkortostan this year.
In turn, Sergei Mironov highly appreciated the initiatives implemented in the republic in terms of supporting the birth rate and enhancing fire safety.
“I will use as an example your initiative to solve the demographic problem – to allocate 300 thousand rubles to families in which the first child is born and who experience housing problems. This is very important, very significant step", the head of the faction said.
During the meeting, Sergei Mironov summed up the work of the Citizens' Rights Protection Center, which existed in Bashkortostan since May 2016. During this time, the Center's lawyers assisted the residents of the republic to recalculate housing and utility services bills, incorrectly accrued pensions and wages. The total recalculations in the region amounted to 4.5 million rubles, while nationwide this figure exceeded 50 billion rubles.
The parties agreed that reports on appeals of Bashkortostan residents to the Citizens' Rights Protection Center would be submitted to the republican authorities too. This will provide additional information on the problems of the population.
