Bashkiria Government discussed educational institutions readiness for new academic year

UFA, 28 August 2018. /Bashinform News Agency/ translated by Tatiana Aksyutina/. The Government of Bashkiria discussed the readiness of educational institutions for the new academic year. As the Minister of Education RB Gulnaz Shafikova said at a briefing session, the total number of students in general education organizations will constitute 479.8 thousand people, which is by 12.7 thousand more than in 2017. 53 thousand first-graders will go to schools - approximately by 700 more than the last year. Solemn events dedicated to the Day of Knowledge will be held in the republic on September 1.

A large-scale work was carried out to prepare educational institutions for operation, Gulnaz Shafikova informed. In 2018, 381.5 million rubles were allocated for capital repairs, upgrading of facilities and energy-saving measures in 631 educational institutions.

Besides, by the end of 2018, six schools for 3653 pupils and a kindergarten for 90 children are planned to be put into operation. Thus, by the end of the year, due to major repairs and construction, the number of pupils studying in the morning shift will reach 91 percent.

At present, the municipal educational authorities complete to recruit the teaching staff for schools. Meals are organized in all general education institutions.
