Rustem Khamitov met with Russian Central Election Commission member Evgeny Shevchenko

UFA, 24 August 2018. /Bashinform News Agency/ translated by Tatiana Aksyutina/. The Head of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov held a working meeting with the member of the Central Election Commission of Russia Evgeny Shevchenko.
The parties discussed the preparation for the elections to the State Assembly - the Kurultay RB.
Evgeny Shevchenko said that 811 polling stations will be equipped with ballot processing complexes at the elections to the State Assembly RB - four times more than at the presidential elections in March 2018. All the technical complexes have already been delivered to the Central Election Commission of Bashkortostan.
“I should thank you,” Evgeny Shevchenko addressed the Head of the republic. “Because due to your initiative the number of complexes for processing ballot papers will be increased fourfold at the elections of the deputies of the State Assembly - the Kurultay RB.”
“We have more than one quarter of the polling stations equipped with the ballot processing complexes. This is our principled position – to ensure non-interference in the voting process through technological innovation. We hope that we will continue to develop this practice. It is extremely important for us to hold fair, open elections”, Rustem Khamitov stated.
It should be noted that the protocols on the results of the elections at the polling stations, as well as at the presidential elections in Russia, will be formed using a QR-code. This will allow avoiding technical mistakes and promptly entering the information into the GAS "Vybory" system.
Elections to the State Assembly - Kurultay RB will be held on September 9, 2018.
