Konstantin Tolkachev: "Current pensions are dissatisfying for everybody"

The Chairman of the State Assembly - the Kurultai of Bashkortostan Konstantin Tolkachev will take part in the parliamentary-public hearings on the improvement of the pension system. The event will be held in the State Duma on August 21.

"The volume of the current pensions is dissatisfying for everyone. It is necessary to find a solution that will ensure the growth of pensions above the level of inflation and will allow increasing its size to 40 percent of wages. The improvement of the pension system should be aimed at raising the social status of pensioners", said Konstantin Tolkachev. "In Bashkortostan, the deputies held many meetings with the population on this issue, communicated with labor collectives of the largest enterprises. We have received a number of proposals aimed at finalizing the draft law on the pension system from the residents of our republic".

The Speaker of the regional parliament explained that citizens' proposals were related to the stages duration of the retirement age raising, guarantees for the employment of mature citizens, special retiring conditions for mothers of many children, villagers and a number of other categories of citizens.

Konstantin Tolkachev expressed his hope that the federal parliamentarians would take them into account when finalizing the bill.
