Bashkiria Representative Office hosted meeting with Chinese journalists in Moscow

The Plenipotentiary Representative Office of the Republic of Bashkortostan under the President of the Russian Federation in Moscow met with a group of journalists from the Chinese province of Shandong.

The meeting was organized with the support and participation of the BRICS TV channel and NP Most, the Russian-Chinese association in the field of economic, scientific, technical, humanitarian and cultural cooperation.

The purpose of the visit of the Chinese journalists to Russia was to strengthen cooperation between the media of the regions of Russia and China, in order to form public opinion of the two countries in favor of mutually beneficial relations. The "Bashkir Satellite Television" has been cooperating with the Central Television of China for the second year, exchanging information programs and current news stories. During the meeting with journalists of Shandong province, an agreement was also reached to broadcast a series of documentaries on the activities of Confucius Institutes in Russia, which are opened for studying the Chinese language in different cities of our country, and a film made by the BRICS TV about a joint Sino-Russian project for the construction of a plant for assembling tractors in the Bashkir city of Blagoveshchensk. The interview for the film was given by the Head of the Republic of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov.

The Chinese journalists were very interested in the invitation to come to Ufa for participation in the next Fourth Small Business Forum of the SCO and BRICS Regions on October 18-19, 2018. They expressed their readiness to publish the information on other major events in Ufa - the International Children's Summer Games, the World Folklore Festival. Besides they are ready to assist in the development of the international cultural project "Along the Great Silk Road". This project is implemented on the initiative of the Plenipotentiary Representative Office RB with the participation of Italian, Chinese and Bashkir artists. In 2017 the project started in Moscow and St. Petersburg. Currently, a search for sponsors and support organizations to continue joint exhibitions in China and Italy is continued.
