Amendments to pension system parameters were discussed at Bashkiria capital

In Ufa, the final discussion of the local initiatives took place. Then the proposals from the region will be sent to the General Council, and after an analysis, they will be submitted to the State Duma for the second reading of the draft law on the pension system, the press service of the regional branch of the party informs.

Alexei Izotov, the State Duma deputy, the secretary of the United Russia regional branch, the chairman of the State Assembly of the Republic of Bashkortostan Konstantin Tolkachev, the deputy administrator of the Pension Fund of the Russian Federation for the Republic of Bashkortostan Rustem Yumagulov, the First Deputy Minister of the Family, Labor and Social Protection RB Yury Melnikov, representative of the Ministry of Health RB Elena Galimullina, activists and supporters of the party took part in the discussion.

Now 1.2 million pensioners live in Bashkortostan, according to the Pension Fund. In 2019, another 43.5 thousand people will retire. As noted by Yury Melnikov, according to statistics, half of the people reaching retirement age continues to work.

During the meeting, the participants introduced a number of initiatives and announced recommendations for a new bill. There were proposals for a gradual increase in the retirement age in several stages, rather than once and abruptly. There have been announced initiatives to organize free retraining of people of pre-retirement age, to increase a status of a young person up to 35, and a status of a young family to 40 years.

Special attention was also paid to the rural population. It was recommended that the increase in the retirement age for rural residents should not be so significant. It is offered to soften conditions and for mothers having many children.

The Bashkortostan regional branch of United Russia will submit all proposals received during municipal and regional discussions to the Central Executive Committee of the party.

The bill on amendments to the pension system provides for a gradual increase in the retirement age to 65 years for men (by 2028) and 63 years for women (by 2034). Currently, the retirement age for men and women is 60 and 55 years, respectively.
