Vladimir Putin awarded Bashkiria Senator “For Merit to the Fatherland” medal

Russian President Vladimir Putin awarded state awards to more than three hundred people, including ten parliamentarians. The relevant decree has been published on the official portal of legal information, the "Parlamentskaya Gazeta" reports.

The first deputy of the Committee of the Chamber of Regions for Science, Education and Culture, the Senator from Bashkortostan Liliya Gumerova was awarded a Medal of the Order "For Merit to the Fatherland" of the II degree.

Parliamentarians received awards for their services "in strengthening the Russian statehood, parliamentary system development and for active legislative activity", it is stated in the decree on awarding.
