Important topics affecting republican residents were constantly monitored by State Assembly deputies - Rustem Khamitov

The Head of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov, summing up the results of the five-year work of the republican parliament, noted that the deputies of the State Assembly - the Kurultay RB always paid special attention to issues affecting the interests of the regional residents.
"Important pressing topics affecting the interests of the republican residents were constantly monitored by the deputies," Rustem Khamitov said. "Thus, the Committee for Housing Policy and Infrastructure Development adopted a law on measures to protect the rights of citizens affected by unfair developers, and a law allowing for compensation for major repairs to single non-working pensioners. "
The head of the region also stated that the Committee for Agrarian Issues, Ecology and Nature Management had developed a law on ensuring the agricultural land fertility. The initiatives on preserving a gene pool of Bashkir breed bees and creation of optimum conditions for their cultivation were prepared.
The Committee for Education, Culture, Sports and Youth Policy made significant amendments to the legislative acts regulating the development of these important spheres. The provision of free food at the expense of the republican budget to students of professional educational organizations was enshrined in law. Amendments were made to the legislation regarding ​​ neglect and delinquency prevention among children and adolescents, increasing the effectiveness of juvenile affairs commissions.
"The Committee for Health, Social Policy and Veterans Affairs has done a great job to improve the republican legislation in terms of providing medical assistance, social services to the population, supporting disabled people, orphans, large families, war and labor veterans," Rustem Khamitov marked. "The adopted law on foster families for the elderly and disabled people contributes to improving the quality of life of citizens in need of constant care".
