Rustem Khamitov summed up work of State Assembly

Today the Head of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov delivered a report at the final 54th meeting of the State Assembly - Kurultay of the fifth convocation. The head of the region summed up the results of the five-year work of the republican parliament and thanked the deputies for their fruitful work.

Rustem Khamitov stated that during the fifth convocation the Government submitted 226 draft laws to the State Assembly and prepared conclusions on almost every bill of deputies.

"We actively promoted republican initiatives at the State Duma, attracted federal budget funds, ensured the implementation of nationwide projects", Rustem Khamitov said. "Our interaction also took place within the framework of parliamentary hearings, government hours, roundtables, reports to deputies of executive bodies heads. The innovation of the current convocation was an activity of expert councils created under the standing committees of the State Assembly - Kurultay with the participation of representatives of ministries and departments, scientists, public figures".

The head of the republic marked a contribution of the State Assembly committees successfully solving their tasks in accordance with the main directions of the republican development.

"The State Assembly - Kurultay of the fifth convocation feature is its multi-party system. For the first time in the history of the republic, six parties are represented in the parliament. A system of interaction has been built with non-parliamentary parties and regional branches of these parties", Rustem Khamitov stressed. “It is important that the interaction of the parliament with the All-Russian People’s Front, the Public Chamber of Bashkortostan, and public associations was expanded. Contacts with the parliaments of the subjects of the Federation, regions of the near and far abroad countries were developed. "

According to the head of the republic, the deputies of the State Assembly - Kurultay often acted as initiators of socially significant events, major forums, public hearings, which became an effective platform for the experience exchange and generation of new ideas.
