United Russia preliminary voting finished in Bashkortostan

UFA, 4 June 2018. /Bashinform News Agency, Gulfiya Akulova/ translated by Tatiana Aksyutina/. A preliminary voting of United Russia was completed in Bashkortostan. Preliminary results will be approved by the organizing committee on June 5 and submitted for approval to the party's General Council.

According to the latest data from the Bashkortostan regional branch of the United Russia party, the voter turnout was 13.4%. For the first time, electronic voting was conducted; this right was used by almost 15 thousand people in the republic.

"Residents of the republic made their choice, cast their votes for those candidates who are considered worthy to be nominated from the United Russia party in the elections to the State Assembly - Kurultay of the Republic of Bashkortostan. The Regional Executive Committee, local party branches have done extensive work on conducting preliminary voting. After counting the results of the rating vote, the list of candidates for deputies from the United Russia party for a single electoral district and single-mandate electoral districts must be approved by the presidium of the General Council of the party. These candidates will be nominated by the Conference of the Regional Office. The total number of candidates for the State Assembly - Kurultay RB from the United Russia party will not exceed 223 people", the Chairman of the State Assembly Konstantin Tolkachev commented on.

The head of the republic, Rustem Khamitov, who participated in the preliminary voting in the 5th electoral district, won the largest number of votes in his constituency.
