Liliya Gumerova presented ensuring children safety bill in Federation Council

The Federation Council held a meeting of the relevant Committee for Science, Education and Culture, where amendments to the federal law "On basic guarantees of the children’s rights in the Russian Federation" were considered. The document is aimed at improving legislative regulation in the sphere of ensuring safe rest and recovery for children.

As the first deputy chairman of the committee, Liliya Gumerova said, the law establishes a mandatory posting of parents' requests for recreation and health improvement of children sent to the state authorities of the Russian subjects and responses to these requests on the official websites of these bodies on the Internet. In addition, a register of organizations that are allowed to provide summer recreation for children should be available on the official website of the government of each region.

The Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation should develop an approximate form of children’s rest and health improvement agreement, which will be concluded with a family. This will establish the rights, duties, and responsibilities of the parties, the parliamentarian stressed.

"Measures to approve the recommended tourist routes should lead to an increase in the level of safety of children's tourism, including amateur tourism with the participation of children," the Senator from Bashkortostan added.
