Presidential elections voting ended in Bashkiria. Polling stations are closed

UFA, 18 March 2018. /Bashinform News Agency, Galiya Nabieva/. In Bashkiria all polling stations for the Russian presidential elections were closed at 20.00. Residents of the republic elected the head of state for the next six years. In Bashkortostan, voter turnout in the presidential elections was 64.39 percent by 18.00. More than 1 954 914 inhabitants of the republic casted their votes in the elections.
There were 3,398 permanent-type polling stations and 38 mobile polling stations established in the places of temporary stay of voters in the republic (31 in medical institutions, three in sanatoriums, three in pre-trial detention facilities, and one at the railway station of Ufa).
Today, on March 18, presidential elections are held in Russia. Eight candidates are competing for the post of the head of state: Baburin Sergey Nikolayevich ("Russian National Union"), Grudinin Pavel Nikolayevich (Communist Party), Zhirinovsky Vladimir Volfovich (LDPR), Putin Vladimir Vladimirovich (self-nomination), Sobchak Ksenia Anatolyevna ("Civil Initiative"), Suraykin Maxim Alexandrovich ("Communists of Russia"), Titov Boris Yurievich (Growth Party), Yavlinsky Grigory Alekseevich ("Yabloko").
