Russian Government is considering winter school holidays transfer
UFA, 12 February 2018. /Bashinform News Agency, Galina Bakhshieva/. In Russia, a flexible schedule of winter school holidays should be introduced, which would coincide with a ski season start, so that families can plan a holiday at ski resorts. This view is held by the Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Khloponin, RBC reports.
In his opinion, such measures are necessary for the tourist ski resorts development in the North Caucasus. The Vice-Premier referred to the European countries experience, where the authorities adjusted winter school holidays to the snow falling period in the Alps.
According to Rosturizm, in 2017 the number of trips by Russians inside the country grew by 3% and exceeded 56.5 million. This is by 34% more than in 2014, and 75% higher than in 2013.
Among the most popular destinations are Moscow, St. Petersburg, the Krasnodar Territory, the Crimea, Tatarstan, as well as the Murmansk Region and Chechnya.
