Vladimir Putin is registered as presidential candidate

UFA, 6 February 2018. /Bashinform News Agency, Alim Faizov/. The Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation registered Vladimir Putin as a candidate for the presidency of Russia. Putin was the first to be registered following the collection of voters’ signatures, the media reported.
Earlier, representatives of Ksenia Sobchak and Maxim Suraykin ("Communists of Russia") told Interfax that their signatures had also been successfully checked. The CEC also confirmed that the authorized Business Ombudsman, Boris Titov, Grigory Yavlinsky (Yabloko) and Sergei Baburin (Russian National Union) would also be registered.
If the CEC does not reveal other violations among the candidates, there will be eight people in the presidential ballots. Vladimir Zhirinovsky (LPDR) and Pavel Grudinin (CPRF) have already been registered, since they represent parliamentary parties.
