Minimum wage and subsistence level evening-up will require about 5 billion rubles in Bashkiria - Rustem Khamitov
UFA, 22 January 2018. /Bashinform News Agency, Alfiya Agliullina/. Evening-up of the minimum wage and subsistence level in Bashkortostan will require about 5 billion rubles in additional expenses. The Head of the Republic Rustem Khamitov told about this in an interview with the TASS news agency.
According to him, funds for these purposes are included in the budget of the region.
"We have always tried to keep closely the minimum wage and the subsistence level in terms of the republican indicators. Therefore, it was not a super complicated task for us," noted Rustem Khamitov. "We have good reserves, including a surplus, which remained following the results of work in 2017. It helped us to solve this problem".
Recall, that on January 10, Russian President Vladimir Putin, while talking to workers of the Tver Carriage Works, said that the minimum wage would be brought to the subsistence level not since January 1, 2019, as it was planned earlier, but since May 1, 2018. The Head of State stressed that the minimum wage would be constantly indexed and would no longer fall below the subsistence level.
