Bashkortostan – Netherlands Festival 2018 has taken place in Netherlands

UFA, 15 January 2018. /Bashinform News Agency/. Bashkortostan – Netherlands Festival 2018 has taken place in Netherlands. Representatives of the Bashkortostan Republic official delegation arrived to the Municipality of Heerde, province Gelderland.

The program of the Festival was full of events. Historians and public figures of Bashkortostan and the Netherlands conducted a historical analysis of the events of 1812-1813 at the round table “1813. Liberation of the Netherlands from Napoleon’s occupation”. Bashkir warriors have participated in these events, Europeans called them “northern cupids”. They directly helped to liberate the Netherlands.

Further the Cultural Heritage of the Republic of Bashkortostan Exhibition was opened for the citizens of the Kingdom. There was photo exposition of documentary and artistic photography organized. The works are dedicated to nature, culture, people, traditions of the people of Bashkortostan.

The exhibition of arts and crafts products of the BKhP Agidel unitary enterprise was represented at the cultural centre of the Municipality. Among the products there were cotton, linen, wool pieces, knitwear with Bashkir national ornament, home textiles, national stylized clothes, stoles, caskets, household utensils. History fans could appreciate the fake bow and arrows made by the Amantai Folk Arts and Crafts Creative Workshop. Masters of Arts of Bashkortostan performed at the Gala evening of the Festival.
