Government approved Bashkiria Development Strategy until 2030

UFA, 13 December 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Galina Bakhshieva/. The Government of Bashkortostan approved the Strategy of Social and Economic Development of the region for the period until 2030.

The Development Strategy of Bashkortostan began to be elaborated last year and was conducted under the leadership of the Head of the Region. The Strategy is based on four main directions of development. It has the following priorities for the long-term period:

human resources, which includes activities to improve the demographic situation, health protection, education, preservation of family values;

real sector of the economy, covering such spheres as industry, agro-industrial complex, development of small and medium-sized business and tourism, investments and innovations, foreign economic activity;

balanced development of territories, including measures for the socio-economic development of municipalities through introduction of agglomeration approaches, support of mono-towns and territories with a restrained level of socio-economic development;

public administration aimed at the openness of the public authorities activities, effectiveness of state property and budget system management, protection of the population and territories from emergency situations of natural and generated by technology type.

As emphasized by the press service of the Ministry of Economic Development of the republic, the implementation of Strategy-2030 is focused on achieving several key indicators. They include entering the top ten regions-leaders in GRP per capita, labor productivity and the top 15 regions of Russia on increasing investment in fixed assets per capita. It is equally important to reach the Top 20 regions in terms of life expectancy.
