It is certainly logical and expected by the residents of Bashkortostan", said the head of the republic Rustem Khamitov. "Vladimir Vladimirovich is our national leader, capable of uniting the country, consolidating society, all the peoples of Russia. He has a clear vision of the future of our country, an understanding of its mission in history. He has an expanded action program. And most importantly he has an invaluable experience of successful leadership of the state, including in difficult economic circumstances and a complex international situation".

Vladimir Putin stated his readiness to run for the fourth term, at a meeting with veterans and workers of the GAZ Group Automobile Plant in Nizhny Novgorod.
