Decision on Russia's participation in Olympics-2018 will be taken by IOC
UFA, 13 November 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Galiya Nabieva/. Russia's refusal to recognize the findings of the agency's independent commission under the leadership of Richard McLaren may cost our country participation in the Olympic Games. The final decision will be made by the IOC.
The media became aware that the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) will not restore the Russian Anti-Doping Agency (RUSADA) in rights. This could lead to the withdrawal of the Russian national team from the 2018 Olympic Games.
Moscow refused to recognize the state's interference in the anti-doping program and did not provide access to closed samples, R-Sport agency reports.
According to experts, WADA will declare RUSADA's inadequacy to the organization code already on November 16. The decision on admitting the Russian national team to the Games in Pyeongchang will be taken by the Executive Committee of the International Olympic Committee before the New Year.
