Government announced beginning of preparations for Russian President elections - RBC

UFA, 17 October 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Galiya Nabieva/. The Russian Government announced preparations for the presidential elections to be held in March 2018. The authorities prepared a decree, which gave instructions to the agencies involved in the preparation of elections, RBC reports.

A draft resolution, which officially gives instructions to ministries and agencies during the election campaign, was published on the portal of normative legal acts entitled "On Measures to Assist Election Commissions in Exercising Their Powers in Preparing and Conducting Presidential Elections".

Total, the project includes 37 points. The explanatory memorandum specifies the measures of assistance of all these bodies, including the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the FSB, Rosgvardia, the Ministry of Justice, the Federal Tax Service, the Ministry of Energy, the Pension Fund, when drawing up and clarifying voter lists, establishing polling stations, delivering election documents and other items.
