Bashkiria Senator may become governor - RBC

UFA, 4 October 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Galiya Nabieva/. The Senator from Bashkortostan Liliya Gumerova joined the personnel reserve of the Russian President. The administration of the head of state started personnel training for leading positions in the regions. Among the contenders for the governors are more than 30 deputies, senators and government officials, RBC reports.
Training takes place in the "Sirius" educational center. The educational course consists of eight modules, the first of which was held in June, the last one is scheduled for February. To attend the training courses for the personnel reserve, 67 people were registered, 31 of them - representatives of the State Duma, the Federation Council and the government. It is this part of the participants of the training that could claim for the governor's posts. As follows from the list of participants of the training, it includes deputies Alexander Avdeev (United Russia), Anton Getta (United Russia), Vladimir Gutenev (United Russia), Dmitry Islamov (United Russia) , Artem Kavinov (United Russia), Maxim Kudryavtsev (United Russia), Vladimir Panov (United Russia), Mikhail Sheremet (United Russia), Ivan Abramov (LDPR), Sergei Zhigarev (LDPR), Alexander Burkov ("Fair Russia") and former deputy Oleg Denisenko (Communist Party).
The Senators Sergei Mamedov (from the Samara region), Liliya Gumerova (from Bashkortostan), Nikolai Zhuravlev (from the Kostroma region), Vladimir Poletayev (from the Altai Republic) and Murat Khapsirokov (from Adygea) took part in the educational program from the Federation Council.
On September 25, Kremlin began an autumn series of regional leaders' resignations. The RBC sources close to the authorities reported that up to ten governors could leave.
