United Russia won 193 mandates out of 256 in municipal elections in Bashkortostan

UFA, 11 September 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Galiya Nabieva/. Municipal elections were held in Bashkiria. 89640 voters participated in the voting, which was 52% of the number of voters included in the lists at the end of voting. The Central Election Commission of the republic announced the preliminary results of the voting.

According to the voting results of the, representatives of the following political parties won seats:

- "United Russia" - 193,

- "A Fair Russia" -14,

- LDPR - 6,

- CPRF - 2,

- Patriots of Russia - 3,

- "Party of Pensioners for Justice" - 1.

37 seats were won by self-nominees.

On September 10, 2017 elections were held in the republic for representative bodies of local self-government. 256 seats were replaced. Of these, 50 were replaced at the main elections: Beloretsk Council - 20, Birsk Council - 20, Umatovo Council of Ufa District - 10, the remaining 206 - at additional elections.

More than 200 members of the polling site commissions with a consultative vote and more than 400 observers supervised the voting process and vote counting. 144 journalists from 50 media were accredited to the CEC of the Republic of Bashkortostan to cover election campaigns.

Elections were held at 49 territorial and 285 polling site commissions.
