Vladimir Putin takes part in work of Eastern Economic Forum

UFA, 7 September 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Olga Murtazina/. The Russian President Vladimir Putin took part in a plenary session of the Eastern Economic Forum. According to RIA Novosti, the head of the state spoke about Russia's approaches to regional economic integration, including in the context of creating a large Eurasian space, the development of the Far East, as well as the most pressing political challenges and threats in the Asia-Pacific region.
The Russian authorities want to transform the Far East into one of the most important logistics centers in the world. As Putin noted, the country was open for cooperation in all spheres for both eastern and western partners.
The EEF is held in Vladivostok for the third time, this year on September 6-7. Among the guests of the forum are Japanese Prime Minister Shinzō Abe, South Korean President Moon Jae-in and Mongolian President Khaltmaagin Battulga.
