Russian polyclinics will operate according to new model

UFA, 3 August 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Ksenia Kalinina/. The Russian Government approved a passport of the priority project "New Model of a Medical Organization Providing Primary Health Care". Its implementation will shorten queues, the time of making appointment to doctors and waiting time at the doctor's office, the prophylactic medical checkup. The project is aimed at improving the quality of services provided and the level of patient satisfaction with processes of polyclinics work organizing.

The project will be implemented before April 1, 2023. The experimental part will be implemented in 2018-2019 - more than 300 medical organizations will assist patients according to the new model. By the end of 2022, at least four thousand medical institutions will be upgraded to the advanced level.

In 2018, procedures for reacting to deviations from the waiting time for medical assistance should be established in 50% of the medical organizations, in 2020 - in 75%, in 2022 - 95%. An automated system for monitoring the availability of primary health care will be created for this purpose.
