Bashkortostan is ready to supply honey to Indonesia

UFA, 2 August 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Ksenia Kalinina/. In Ufa, in the House of the Government RB a meeting of the official delegation of the Western Java Province in the Republic of Indonesia took place. The sides discussed the priority areas of cooperation, including those related to agriculture.

The Head of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov noted that the republic was a leader in production of honey in the country.

"Bashkortostan is the largest producer of honey in the Russian Federation. We know that honey is popular in Indonesia, and that honey of wild bees is especially demanded", Rustem Khamitov addressed to the Governor of West Java Province Ahmad Heryawan.

The Head of Bashkortostan added that the republic was ready to consider a possibility of exporting dry milk, wheat, beans, flour, turkey meat according to halal standards, as well as other food products to Western Java.

"I heard that Bashkortostan is a major producer of agricultural products. We are interested in cooperation in this sphere, "Ahmad Heryawan said. "We are great lovers and fans of honey. And indeed, the greatest value for us is the honey of wild bees. Honey is very important for maintaining health".

Rustem Khamitov expressed hope that the relationship between Bashkortostan and West Java will develop increasingly.

As Bashinform News Agency Как reported, within the framework of a meeting with the official delegation of the West Java Province of Indonesia, an intentions protocol was signed on cooperation development with this province in trade-economic, investment, scientific-technical, social-humanitarian and cultural spheres. The document was signed by the Head of Bashkortostan and the Governor of the Western Java Province.
