Konstantin Tolkachev: "Russia needs changes in urban environment"

UFA, 25 July 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Galiya Nabieva/. The need for changing the urban environment is so pressing that almost a revolution takes place in this sphere currently. This was stated by the Speaker of the regional parliament Konstantin Tolkachev following the results of the "Urban Environment" Forum in Krasnodar. United Russia members discussed the issues of improving the urban environment, public spaces of the Russian cities.
Konstantin Tolkachev noted the importance of maintaining financing of the "Urban Environment" project within the previous volumes for the next year.
"The Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said that the necessary instructions had already been given. It is very important for us because Bashkortostan is the second, after the Krasnodar Territory, in the amount of funds allocated for the implementation of this project", said the Chairman of the State Assembly RB.
According to the speaker of the regional parliament, an idea of creating standards for cities development seems to be quite interesting. This is relevant for our republic, as more than 60 percent of the population lives in urban environment here. The development of this environment is a strategic task for the region.
"Great attention was paid to the development of small towns at the forum. We have 1033 of them in Russia. These are cities with a population of no more than 370,000 people", said Konstantin Tolkachev.
The "Urban Environment" forum has finished its work in Krasnodar. The delegation of Bashkortostan was headed by the speaker of the regional parliament Konstantin Tolkachev. The Mayor of Ufa Irek Yalalov, representatives of the city administrations of Beloretsk, Neftekamsk, and the Ministry of Housing and Public Utilities shared their experience of the project implementation. About one thousand people from all 85 regions of the country took part in the forum.
