Pavel Kachkaev: "86% of decisions on "Urban Environment" project is adopted at general meetings of citizens"

UFA, 24 July 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Galiya Nabieva/. Residents of Russia are very pro-active in the implementation of the "Urban Environment" project. This was stated at the "United Russia" forum in Krasnodar by the State Duma deputy from Bashkortostan Pavel Kachkaev. The parliamentarian moderates the "Comfortable Yard" session where modern approaches to involving residents in the improvement of yards, best practices, as well as opportunities for integrated improvement of residential areas and the existing restrictions are discussed.
"Today, almost 86% of decisions are made at general meetings, and by show of hands. There is very little voting by secret ballot there", noted Pavel Kachkaev.
The deputy said that this year the program for a comfortable urban environment for 2018-2022 would be adopted. Legislators will also determine general rules of improvement in all municipalities of our country.
Today, the United Russia "Urban Environment" forum dedicated to the improvement of the urban environment and public spaces of the country's cities began in Krasnodar. The delegation of Bashkortostan was headed by the Speaker of the regional parliament Konstantin Tolkachev. Representatives of the administration of Ufa, Beloretsk, Neftekamsk, and the Ministry of Housing and Public Utilities will share their experience in implementing the project. About one thousand people from all 85 regions of the country take part in the forum: experts, coordinators of federal party projects of United Russia aimed at improving the urban environment, State Duma deputies, representatives of the Government of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Construction and Public Utilities of the Russian Federation, the executive and legislative authorities of the subjects of the Russian Federation, the heads of municipal administrations.
