Konstantin Tolkachev will present report on extremism counteraction situation in State Duma

The Chairman of the State Assembly of Bashkortostan Konstantin Tolkachev will attend a meeting of the Presidium of the Council of Legislators of the Russian Federation, which will be held in the State Duma on July 13. The Speaker of the regional parliament intends to make a report to the legislators of Russia. The parliamentarians will review implementation of powers in the field of countering terrorism and extremist activity at the regional level, the legislative support for the 2018 FIFA World Cup. Monitoring of the implementation of migration legislation will also be presented. In the discussion of the first two issues, the Commission of the Council of Legislators on the issues of legislative support of national security and counteracting corruption, headed by Konstantin Tolkachev, is planned.

Konstantin Tolkachev is sure that there is a need to improve legislation in the sphere of combating extremism and terrorism. Deputies propose to introduce administrative and criminal responsibility for non-compliance with the requirements of antiterrorist protection of all facilities subject to such protection, establish administrative responsibility for disseminating information about terrorist organizations, improve the Federal Law "On Information, Information Technologies and Information Protection" to prevent unpunished distribution of illegal information in social networks.
