Bashkiria representatives became observers at elections to Kazakhstan Senate

UFA, 5 July 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Galiya Nabieva/. Representatives of Bashkiria became observers at the elections to the Senate of Kazakhstan. The Russian delegation, headed by Maya Grishina, secretary of the CEC of the Russian Federation, also included chairmen of election commissions of the Vladimir region and the Komi Republic.
Observers from the republic representing the CIS Observer Mission, Danil Azamatov, head of the department for social and political development of the Head of the Republic administration, and Dilus Farvazov, the chairman of the territorial election commission of Neftekamsk, attended the elections in the regional centre of the Almaty region - Taldykorgan.
The elections were held in 16 areas (14 regions, the cities of Astana and Almaty), where per one deputy of the upper chamber of the country's supreme legislative body was elected. On the Election Day, the representatives of the CIS Observer Mission attended the joint meeting of the electors of the Almaty region, and monitored a voting procedure in the polling station organized by the regional election commission.
The observers noted that the elections to the Senate of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the Almaty region were held in accordance with the Constitution and at a high organizational level, were open, competitive and transparent.
