UFA, 30 June 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Galiya Nabieva/. A possibility of introducing a resort fee in Bashkiria was discussed at a round table organized by the supporters of United Russia. Granting municipalities the right to introduce a resort fee was discussed at a round table with the participation of the State Duma deputies Ramzil Ishsarin and Inga Yumasheva, representatives of the tourist industry and the State Committee for Entrepreneurship and Tourism. The discussion was aimed at developing proposals for amending the bill to its second reading, the press service of United Russia explains.

Participants believe that it is necessary to work out a legal framework for collecting a resort tax and mechanisms for its further application. It is also necessary to think over a form of stimulation of entrepreneurs, who, due to the introduction of the fee, expect an increase in prices for their services, experts said. In addition, it is necessary to work out a possibility of introducing a fee earlier, without waiting for the completion of the experiment.

Also Ramzil Ishsarin noted that in the republic such fee would help to improve the recreational infrastructure. But such a measure should be approached with caution, so as not to reduce the flow of tourists.

The State Duma in the first reading voted for the bill on the resort fee introduction. The document was supported by 313 parliamentarians, 68 opposed. The bill suggests the introduction of fee in four pilot regions - the Crimea, the Altai, Krasnodar and Stavropol regions. Its maximum size is set at 100 rubles per day for each arriving in the region over the age of 18, while the authorities themselves will determine a specific sum of the fee. The experiment will last for five years, after which the government has to decide whether to extend the fee to all regions or to abandon such a measure.
