Society demands proper organization of elections in Bashkortostan Republic - Rustem Khamitov

UFA, 29 June 2017. /Bashinform News Agency/. The Head of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov met with the leadership of the Central Election Commission of Bashkortostan, which yesterday started working in a new composition. The meeting was attended by the Chairman of the CEC RB Khaidar Valeev, his deputy Marat Gadilov and the secretary of the CEC RB Marina Dolmatova. Issues of preparation for the upcoming elections, improvement of territorial election commissions work, interaction with political parties were discussed.

“Your task is to hold these elections openly, transparently, so that there will be no doubt that these very important procedures are going on scrupulously honestly”, Rustem Khamitov said.

This year in the republic a number of municipal elections will take place, and in 2018 - the elections of the President of the Russian Federation, as well as the deputies of the State Assembly - the Kurultay of Bashkortostan. According to Khaidar Valeev, usage of ballot processing complexes, QR codes in the protocols of precinct election commissions are among the innovations that will be used during these elections. All precinct and territorial election commissions will be equipped with video surveillance.

“In my opinion, the work of the Central Election Commission in this part, of course, plays a decisive role. It depends extremely much on what pace you will set to this work, what goals and tasks you will formulate for the territorial election commissions, how people will be selected”, Rustem Khamitov stressed.
