Elections of Russian President in Bashkiria will be provided by CEC headed by Khaidar Valeev

UFA, 27 June 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Galiya Nabieva/. The acting head of the Central Election Commission of Bashkiria, Khaidar Valeev, was re-elected for a new term. The new composition of the CEC RB at the first meeting unanimously elected the Chairman by secret ballot.

Earlier, the CEC of Russia proposed re-electing the current head of the Central Election Commission of Bashkortostan Khaidar Valeev for a new term. The decision was taken at a meeting of election organizers in Moscow.

The head of the department is elected for the next five years. This year he will assist in the organization of municipal elections. On a single voting day in 2017 in Bashkiria elections of deputies of two urban settlements - Beloretsk and Birsk, as well as deputies of the Yumatovo village council of the Ufa district will be held. In addition, 168 electoral campaigns for additional elections will be conducted.

In the near future, the new composition of the CEC will start preparations for the presidential elections in Russia, which will be held in March 2018.

Recall that on May 14 in Bashkortostan a new composition of the Central Election Commission was formed. The head of the republic appointed six members of the Central Election Commission by his decree. The deputies of the State Assembly of Bashkortostan also defined six members of the Central Election Commission of the republic with a casting vote.

The new composition was elected in connection with the expiry of the term of office of the Central Election Commission on June 26, 2017. In accordance with federal and regional election legislation, the CEC of the new composition included 12 members with the casting vote.
