Bashkiria delegation took part in Cooperation Council meeting in "Volga-Yangtze" format

On June 16, the official delegation of Bashkortostan took part in the second meeting of the Cooperation Council between the regions of the Volga Federal District and the upper and middle reaches of the Yangtze River of the People's Republic of China, which was held in Hefei City, China's Anhui Province. The meeting was opened by the Co-Chairman of the Council from the Chinese side - member of the State Council of the People's Republic of China Yang Jiechi, from the Russian side – Plenipotentiary Envoy of the President of the Russian Federation to the Volga Federal District Mikhail Babich.

Representatives of the Yangtze River Regions, the State Committee for Development and Reform, the Ministry of Commerce, the Ministry of Culture, the State Tourism Authority and the State Development Bank of China delivered speeches at the event.

The current state and prospects of cooperation between the regions of the Volga Federal District of the Russian Federation and the regions of the upper and middle reaches of the Yangtze River PRC was highlighted by representatives of a number of regions. The presentation of Bashkortostan was made by the Prime Minister of the Republican Government Rustem Mardanov.

According to the Ministry of Economic Development RB, on June 16 signing of cooperation agreements between Bashkiria and the provinces of Anhui and Sichuan; a protocol on intentions of investment cooperation development between our republic and the province of Jiangxi and the Chinese Development Bank, as well as agreements on cooperation between the Ministry of Culture of Bashkortostan and the Culture Department of Jiangxi Province took place.
