All-Russian People's Front members celebrated Day of Russia ascending to Big Iremel in Bashkiria

In Bashkiria, active members of the regional branch of the All-Russian People's Front conducted an ascent to Mount Iremel on the Day of Russia. Public men hoisted the flags of Russia and the People's Front At the second highest peak in the South Urals.
"June 12 is a special date for our country," said coordinator of the "Full-Scale Cleaning" All-Russian People's Front project in the republic Murad Shafikov. "The Day of Russia is a symbol of freedom, independence and national unity. Despite the fact that it is one of the youngest public holidays, it has already become truly popular. This is testified by the number of people who take part in the festive events dedicated to the Day of Russia. It is especially gratifying that every year more and more young people are among its participants. Our campaign also united both the older generation and adolescents".
Mount Iremel is considered a sacred place by the Bashkirs and the ascent to it is a special event in the life of a person. According to All-Russian People's active members, the combination of two landmark events - climbing the mountain on the Day of Russia - is of great patriotic significance.
