Vladimir Putin announced Decade of Childhood holding in country

UFA, 29 May 2017. /Bashinform News Agency/. The President Vladimir Putin announced holding the Decade of Childhood in the country from 2018 to 2027. The relevant decree is published on the website of legal information. Within three months the Government is to prepare a program plan for the next two years.

This decision was made "with a view to improve the state policy in the field of children protection, taking into account the results achieved in implementation of the National Children Protection Strategy for 2012-2017," the document says.

In February, the Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev asked the Speaker of the Council of Federation Valentina Matvienko to approve the Decade of Childhood project, Izvestiya reminds .
