Bashkortostan prepares bilateral cooperation agreements with China

UFA, 15 May 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Galiya Nabieva/. Bashkortostan plans to sign bilateral agreements on cooperation with China in trade, economic, scientific, technical and other fields. This became known following participation of the republican delegation in the second meeting of the Council for Interregional Cooperation in the Volga-Yangtze format.

Alexei Sukhov, the Deputy Presidential Envoy to the Volga Federal District, discussed preparations for participation of the Volga Federal District delegation in the second meeting of the Council for Interregional Cooperation in the Volga-Yangtze format via videoconferencing. According to the press service of the Chief Federal Inspector RB, the Council will meet in Hefei City, Anhui Province (PRC) on June 16. The co-chairs of the Council will be the Presidential Envoy to the Volga Federal District Mikhail Babich and the member of the State Council of the People's Republic of China Yang Jiechi. On the Russian side representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Economic Development and the Ministry of Culture of Russia, Rosturizm, as well as the highest officials of the constituent entities of the Federation will take part in the Council.

The delegation of Bashkortostan plans to conclude agreements on cooperation in trade, economic, scientific and technical, investment spheres with the people's governments of the provinces of Anhui, Sichuan, Jiangxi and the Chinese Development Bank at the second meeting of the Council in Hefei.

In the same period, a solemn closing ceremony of the Russian-Chinese Youth Forum will take place, in which 10 students from Bashkortostan will take part.
