Bashkiria residents participated in "Immortal Regiment" rally for fourth time

UFA, 10 May 2017. /Bashinform News Agency/. Residents of Bashkiria took part in the "Immortal Regiment" march along the main streets of their cities and towns. The patriotic campaign has become nationwide. The most mass march took place in the capital of the republic. Thousands of Ufa residents joined the All-Russian campaign for the fourth time, carrying photographs of their relatives - participants and veterans of the Great Patriotic War. Total, more than 60 thousand people participated in the event together with the audience.

Each time it becomes more and more popular - last year about 53 thousand Ufa residents took part in it.

In 2015, the largest mass campaign in the Volga Federal District took place in Ufa. The most active participants of the campaign were then Ufa schoolchildren, who found information about their relatives who had died in the war, registered on the website of the campaign and made banners with photos of soldiers. Thus, about 250 thousand names of veterans were included in the chronicle of the "Immortal Regiment" on the website of the campaign.

The international public campaign "Immortal Regiment" was first initiated by Tomsk journalists in 2011. Now the people's movement covers 64 states and territories. The electronic "People's Chronicle" with stories of soldiers is kept.
