Rustem Khamitov delivered report on results of Bashkortostan Government work in 2016

A report of the Head of the Republic on results of work of the Government RB in 2016 was heard at the State Assembly - Kurultai of Bashkortostan. Rustem Khamitov thanked the deputy corps for constructive interaction with executive authorities and support of legislative initiatives of the Government.

He named positive trends in basic macroeconomic indicators, strengthening of financial stability, fulfillment of all social obligations as the main achievements of the last year. The industrial production grew by 2.6 percent in 2016, agriculture grew by about 1 percent, the index of investments in fixed assets made 104.2 percent (according to this indicator the republic became the leader in the Volga Federal District).

"Positive figures were reached in the budget system - the year was completed with a surplus of 10 billion rubles. All socially significant commitments were financed in full; road maps to increase salary of certain categories of state employees were implemented. In general, there has been a real increase in wages, level of general unemployment decreased", the Head of Bashkortostan said. "The expected lifespan in the republic increased from 70 years to 71 years, the mortality rate decreased in almost all types of diseases. In general, the republic is successfully moving forward mobilizing resources to solve problematic issues".

Rustem Khamitov called deterioration of the demographic situation as one of the most pressing problems of the day. "This is connected, among other things, with the outflow of labour resources. As a result of the year, quite difficult situation has developed in this area in many cities and regions of the republic. The Government has repeatedly considered this issue. The corresponding tasks were determined for the coming years. Wide cooperative activity of citizens, small farms, microenterprises is a real instrument of employment, creation of highly paid jobs. It is necessary to promote collective forms of property," the Head RB addressed to the audience.
