State Duma approved law on electronic disability sheets

UFA, 14 April 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Gulfiya Akulova/. The State Duma adopted a law on use of disability sheets in the form of electronic documents. It should enter into force since July 1, 2017, Izvestia reports .

The bill allows using a disability sheet not only in hard copy, but also in the form of an electronic document. In this case, the replacement of traditional leave certificates with electronic ones will go gradually, the Ministry of Labour explained.

"As the number of medical organizations with Unified State Health Information System is increased, the number of participants in the "Electronic Disability Sheet" project will be expanded", the ministry informs.

This means statutorization of electronic interaction technology between medical organizations, insurers and territorial bodies of the Social Insurance Fund of Russia and transition of temporary disability sheets into an electronic form with gradual cancellation of paper form".
