Bashkiria has successfully positions itself as significant economic entity - expert

The delegation of Bashkortostan has visited the "Sochi" Russian Investment Forum not for the first year already and currently our republic has successfully positioned itself as a significant economic entity. Results of important economic events in the life of the country were commented on by the political analyst Dmitry Kazantsev.

The diversified structure of Bashkortostan economy makes a basis for negotiations between the representatives of the republic at the federal forum, according to experts.

"Currently, Bashkortostan is one of the major oil-producing regions of the country, the leader of the chemical industry and mechanical engineering, not only in the Volga Federal District, but also nationwide", Dmitry Kazantsev marked.

In terms of gross regional product the republic occupies the ninth place among Russian entities, the fifth in housing commissioning, the sixth place in volume of exports, agriculture, the seventh place in retail trade turnover and industrial production volume, 12th place in investment in fixed capital and construction.

The delegation of Bashkortostan headed by Rustem Khamitov completed its work at the "Sochi-2017" Russian Investment Forum. The Government signed a number of investment agreements. Among the most significant the Head of the Republic marked a memorandum on VTB’s financing the concession agreement related to a highway construction that connects M-5 and M-7 highways. It relates to completion of a tunnel construction, a bridge construction across the river Ufa and exit to M-5 highway.
