Vladimir Putin has identified 40 candidates for Public Chamber’s new composition

UFA, 21 February 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Galiya Nabieva/. Vladimir Putin has identified 40 candidates of Russian citizens who have special merits before the state and society and offered them to join the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation. Thus, the President launched a procedure for the formation of the new composition of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation.

At least half of the candidates are representatives of professional and creative unions, associations of employers and their associations, as well as other non-profit organizations created to represent and protect the interests of professional and social groups.

Not later than 30 days the Public Chamber of entities shall elect from among their members per one representative to the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation.

The Public Chamber carries out public control over the activities of federal executive bodies, executive bodies of subjects of the Russian Federation and local governments, supports the implementation of the state policy in the field of human rights in places of detention.

The current composition of the Public Chamber our republic is represented by the director of the Research Institute of Oncology, Bashkir State Medical University Shamil Gantsev.

The Public Chamber is formed of 40 people, approved by the President of the Russian Federation, and 83 representatives of the regional Public Chambers. 43 representatives of public associations and organizations will be determined by vote of members of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation, approved by the President and members of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation from Public Chambers of the regions.
