Bashkiria journalists take part in Vladimir Putin’s press conference

UFA, 23 December 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Galiya Nabieva/. The journalists of the leading mass media of Bashkortostan participate in a major press conference of Vladimir Putin. Nearly 1.5 thousand journalists gathered at the traditional December press conference of the President of Russia. It will be the 12th for the President.
The Bashkortostan journalists are interested in issues related to environment, doctrine of national security, support for Russian athletes, regional TV channels and the Bashneft’s fate.
According to the spokesman for the head of the state, Dmitry Peskov, during today's press conference, as in previous years, the main topic will be domestic issues of the country.
This time considerable attention will be also paid to the international situation, the situation in Syria. The Russian-American relations and the elections in the United States are likely to be of great interest to the press.
A record number of journalists are accredited to cover the Putin's press conference - 1437. The list is growing almost every year. At his first press conference in 2001 it were accredited more than 500 journalists, in 2002 and 2003 - more than 700, in 2004 - 750, in 2007 – 1132, in 2008 – 1364, in 2013 – 1327, in 2014 - 1259, in 2015 - 1392.
The vast majority in the list of accredited journalists published on the Kremlin website is constituted by representatives of the national media - federal and regional, but there are also reporters from Japan, USA, China, Germany, France, Spain, Sweden and Estonia.
The first meeting with reporters in 2001 was the shortest - 1 hour 33 minutes. According to TASS, the longest was the press conference of 2008, when the president answered questions 4 hours and 40 minutes. Last December, the press conference took 3 hours 8 minutes.
The press conference is held at the World Trade Centre. The presidential communication with journalists is shown live on TV channel "Russia 1", "Russia 24" and "Channel One". Also it is broadcast by radio stations "Mayak", "Vesti FM" and "Radio Russia".
