Strategy 2030 will include five strategic initiatives

UFA, 22 December 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Alexander Smirnov/. A Strategy for Socio-Economic Development of Bashkortostan until 2030, a draft of which was discussed yesterday at a meeting of the Government, will include five strategic initiatives. This was announced by the Prime Minister of the Government of RB Rustem Mardanov.
According to him, strategic initiatives are the main tool for the implementation of the Strategy-2030. Work on them was carried out in the project sessions with the involvement of the Moscow Management School "Skolkovo", leading foreign and domestic experts practices. As a result, five initiatives were formed. The Bashkortostan Republic was awarded the Skolkovo Trend Award for this work.
The experts invited to the meeting of the Government elaborated on the developed strategic initiatives.
The Director of the Institute of Strategic Studies RB Dmitry Kotov presented an initiative relating to the general issues of the region up to 2030. It concerns development of domestic entrepreneurship, cooperation, finding the best practices for attracting foreign investment, as well as targeted positive positioning of our republic.
The USPTU Professor Irina Burenina presented an initiative relating to the development of new industrial markets. New quality of scientific and industrial infrastructure and government regulation as well as a new image of the territory are required for these purposes.
The research officer of the Institute of Strategic Studies RB Natalia Lavrenyuk told about preservation and development of the human potential based on the "family and children" principle with such targets as longevity, knowledge, and income.
The Head of the Republic noted that in terms of life expectancy Bashkortostan was in a difficult situation.
“The efforts of the last years have brought their results: only through the administration we were able to reduce infant mortality, to overcome the longevity index of 70 years”, said Rustem Khamitov. “But our task is to achieve the target of 78 years. It cannot be solved only through administrative measures.”
The Deputy Head of the Government RB Alexander Gagin presented a strategic initiative to improve public administration system. The Director of the Institute of Economics, Finance and Business of the Bashkir State University Rustem Akhunov, speaking about the initiative on establishing a model of territories sustainable development urged to introduce more actively the "M2M" model that is inter-municipal cooperation, especially at the sub-regional level.
The Head of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov thanked the panelists for the first stage of the work, noting that the Strategy 2030 should be adopted no later than in the first half of 2017.
