All hospitals and clinics will be connected to high-speed Internet in two years - Vladimir Putin

UFA, 1 December 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Galiya Nabieva/. The Russian President Vladimir Putin offered "to connect all hospitals and clinics of the country to high- speed Internet within the next two years. This will allow doctors even in remote towns or villages to take advantage of telemedicine services, to get consultations promptly from their colleagues in regional or federal clinics". The head of the state makes an Annual Address to the Federal Assembly.
Vladimir Putin drew attention of the Ministry of Communications to these plans. The head of the state believes that this objective is totally realistic, feasible.
Vladimir Putin said that next year the country would continue to increase the level of public health IT development in order to make convenient and simple appointments, record keeping in this sphere.
Also with the help of information technology the control efficiency over the market of life-saving drugs will be significantly increased. This will enable to get rid of fakes and counterfeits, prevent overpricing in the procurement of medical supplies for hospitals and clinics.
