Pension Fund of Russia has denied information about increasing retirement age since 2019

UFA, 24 November 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Galiya Nabieva/. The Pension Fund of Russia has denied the information about a gradual increase of the retirement age since 2019. It is reported by TASS with reference to the press-secretary of the Pension Fund of Russia Marita Nagoga.

"This issue is not considered. The Pension Fund of Russia has not received any orders from the leaders of the social bloc. The topic of raising the retirement age has been widely discussed in the expert community, experts are addressing to the Pension Fund for carrying out the calculations", said the spokesman.

At the same time, it was marked that the social bloc of the Russian Government consistently opposed increasing the retirement age without further exploration of the issue, as well as socio-economic and scientific substantiation.

Earlier media reports referring to the presentation of the head of the Russian Pension Fund Anton Drozdov said that the Russian authorities were working on the gradual increase in the retirement age since 2019.
