Bashkortostan experience in CIS countries student adaptation was presented at international forum in Moscow

A political scientist from Bashkiria delivered a report at an open International Forum "25 Years of the CIS: Mutual Understanding, Cooperation and Development", which was held in Moscow on November 9-10. The Associate Professor of Philosophy and Political Science Chair of Bashkir State University, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Fund to Support Youth Initiatives "Effect" Svetlana Parfyonova delivered a speech at the round table "CIS Countries Student Social And Cultural Adaptation To The Educational Environment At Russian Universities".
The forum brought together representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, the state power bodies of the CIS countries, the media, parliamentarians, representatives of culture, science, education, religious leaders of the CIS countries. The participants discussed the role of youth, culture and art in the humanitarian cooperation of the CIS countries, features of ethno-religious dialogue, education and integration, the role of public diplomacy in work with compatriots.
"Total more than 2 100 foreign students study at eight public universities of the Republic of Bashkortostan, of them more than 50 percent are represented by the CIS countries residents. All of them are successfully organized within educational institutions", Svetlana Parfyonova mentioned in her speech.
She noted that the Fund to Support Youth Initiatives plans to develop a program on youth initiatives in sports, cultural and business areas for migrants among the youth and other similar projects.
