Russian President appointed head of Bashkiria’s Investigative Committee

UFA, 1 November 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Arina Rakhimkulova/. On Monday, October 31, the Russian President Vladimir Putin appointed the head of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation in Bashkortostan, Major-General Justice Gregory Zhitenev. He will hold the position for five years. The relevant presidential decree is posted on the official web portal of legal information.
Gregory Zhitenev was born on February 16, 1972. In 1994, he graduated from Saratov State Academy of Law. The same year he was employed by the prosecutor's office of the Penza region, where he worked as an investigator, prosecutor of Department for supervision over the legality of judicial decisions in criminal matters, the deputy prosecutor of the Oktyabrsky district of Penza, the head of the department for supervision over investigation, inquest and operational-search activities.
From 2007 to 2012 he was the deputy head of the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation in the Penza region. On January 23, 2013 he was appointed the head of the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation in the Kirov region.
For exemplary performance of his official duties, achievement of high professional results he was awarded the medals "For Merits", "For Distinguished labour", "For Honourable Service of I, II, III degree" and other awards.
