Irek Yalalov is elected Ufa mayor for new term

UFA, 25 October 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Galiya Nabieva/. The Acting Head of Ufa Administration Irek Yalalov is elected the mayor of the city. The decision was taken at the session of the City Council today, October 25. 34 deputies voted for him. The capital head has justified the confidence of deputies of the previous convocation, and was appointed for the third term. The head of the city district Valery Trofimov is to sign a contract with him.

Four candidates fought for the mayor's seat in Ufa. These are the City Council deputy of the previous convocation Nikolay Gerasimov, the lawyer of the Bashkir Bar Association Rinat Akhmadullin, the director of "Ufagorsvet" company Ildar Chanyshev and the Acting Head of Administration Irek Yalalov. All of them were allowed to participate in the competition for the post, the City Council explains.

Three candidates passed the competitive procedures on October 19. Applicants for the position of the head of the city administration presented their socio-economic development programs of the city.

One of the four applicants for the position of the Ufa city manager – the Bashkir Bar Association lawyer, former deputy prosecutor of the Kirov district Rinat Akhmadulin withdrew his application for participation in the procedure.
