Bashkortostan residents celebrate the Republic Day

UFA, 11 October 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Galiya Nabieva/. On October 11, Bashkortostan celebrates the Republic Day. In all settlements of the region festivities are held. In anticipation of the holiday the Head of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov congratulated the republic’s inhabitants at the Bashkir State Opera and Ballet Theatre.

This year, this date is particularly significant in connection with the start of preparations for the important event in the history of our region. In 2019 the republic will celebrate the 100th anniversary of signing the Agreement between the Government of Bashkiria and the Soviet Government on formation of the country's first national autonomous republic.

"Throughout the centuries Bashkortostan has been and remains a reliable support of the state. Residents of the republic made a significant contribution to the development of domestic industry, agriculture, science, education, health and culture", underlined Rustem Khamitov in his congratulation.
