Rustem Khamitov congratulated Bashkortostan citizens on Republic Day

UFA, 7 October 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Alexander Smirnov/. On October 6, the Head of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov spoke at the solemn meeting dedicated to the Republic Day, which was held at the Bashkir State Opera and Ballet Theatre in Ufa.

The Head of the Region congratulated the residents of the republic on the holiday and summed up the main results of the republican socio-economic development.

“Since 2010, the Bashkortostan industry has grown by a quarter, this year - a further two percent in eight months. Investments in the economy doubled - from 154 to almost 317 billion rubles. It was implemented more than 60 major investment projects. In the National Investment Climate Rating the republic rose from 40th to 20th place”, Rustem Khamitov said. “Production facilities of leading enterprises are expanded and upgraded, primarily in fuel and energy complex. Significant projects are being implemented in the field of forest products, mining industry and agriculture.”

The Head of Bashkortostan told about the preparations for the 100th anniversary of the Republic, having outlined the priority tasks of anniversary events. According to Rustem Khamitov, in preparation for the anniversary the republic should take into account the experience of SCO and BRICS Summits in Ufa, but not copy it.

“I sincerely congratulate everybody on the Republic Day. I wish health and prosperity to you and your families, success in all your good deeds! I express my gratitude to all of you, dear friends, to those who, without sparing himself, work for the benefit of Bashkortostan and the whole of Russia, who promote strengthening and prosperity of our Motherland”, the Head of Bashkortostan said.

The meeting was closed with a festive concert of creative teams and performers of Bashkortostan.
